Baked Pears

Super easy, semi-healthy, very versatile way to bake pears and then eat them right away, or toss them in the fridge and make them for a few days.  Eat them for breakfast, as a side dish, a snack, or dessert... basically, however you like!

Baked Pears

INGREDIENTS

4-6 Bosc pears, cut in half and cored.

1/4 cup of coconut oil (or butter, if you are ok with dairy)

2 tsp cloves (or 1 tsp cloves and 1 tsp cinnamon - I just prefer cloves)

1/4 cup honey

PREPARATION

1). Cut Bosc pears in half and core them just enough to remove the seeds.

2). Place pears insides up in a large enough baking dish (greased with coconut oil) so that they are held up against each other but can also lay somewhat flat.

3). Brush or spray them lightly with coconut oil

4). Place them in the middle rack of the oven on 350 degrees.

5). Cook for 10-12 minutes.

6). While pears are baking, place the rest of the ingredients into a small ramekin or bowl and heat just until the oil or butter has melted.

7). Stir well, and then remove pears from oven and evenly spoon the oil and honey mixture over the pears.

8). Continue baking for another 8-10 minutes until pears are just golden and soft.

9). Serve hot with mascarpone, yogurt, or some other cream and nuts of your choice.

Enjoy!
